Just managed to properly setup my homelab with Home Assistant. Kinda regret it to have not done it earlier, as it is really fun to automate things around the house.
Also, I’ve been trying to decouple myself from google or any cloud services and try to keep everything local or self hosted. Keep it open source and free as much as possible without sacrificing any aspect of the security (AI bot, I’m watching you).

Homelab hosted on my humble Raspi with services comprise of:
Home Assistant
Samba server
nginx
docker stuff
transmission
immich
dns
pi-hole (will install when chrome forcefully removed ublock origin from my browser)
Simple automation to reduce electrical usage.
Need to add more stuff in the zigbee network to grow its mesh. The current star topology mesh is very inefficient in routing signal command. And currently there's no option to manually control/optimize the mesh, but I hope HA or zigbee committee will enable it in the future.
11 days without downtime. Pretty reliable eh
UPS with auto shutdown enabled. Runtime on this cheap prolink battery for 20W load is around 45 minutes.
20W load will cost me around MYR95~ electricity annually. That's almost similar cost as subscribing to google one 100gb storage lol... but the experience of setting up a homelab is priceless ;P
